Chicago’s festivals aren’t always about large amounts of food and drinks. Get cultured at the Old Town Art Fair.
Voted the best Art fair by Art Fair Calendar, the Old Town Art Fair is back for it’s 69th year with 250 artists exhibiting and selling their best artworks.
Experience 2D mixed media artists like Esther Aron’s beautiful boxes of winged figures, 3D mixed media like Amy Flynn’s found-objects robots, and furniture from Thomas Williams along with photography, jewelry, glasswork, printmaking, and much more.
If you want to take a break from the booths enjoy the Garden Walk where over 50 gardens will be on display and open to the public during the Art Fair.
You can also catch 17 live music acts across two stages during the two-day festival. Kids will enjoy the music but good luck getting them away from the Children’s Corner where they’ll experience a magic show, a dance troupe, a science demonstration, and more.
While art is the center of the festival it’s not a Chicago festival without delicious food. Grab bites from Adobo Grill, Chicago’s Dog House, Pinstripes, and others.
The Old Town Art Fair takes place June 10–11 at the Old Town Triangle Historic District, 1763 N. North Park Ave. The festival will be open Saturday from 10 a.m.–7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.–6 p.m. There is a $10 suggested donation at the entrance.
