You’re going to want to fight your brain when it tells you to stop eating after spending some time at the delicious Sam Adams Lakeview Taco Fest this weekend.
The Southport Corridor will be filled with tacos, live music, lucha libre, and 14 eateries serving some of the juiciest tacos in the city.
Tortillas will be the vehicle of all your favorite meats and vegetables. As you travel the festival trying the different tacos you can text your vote for your favorite. Beat Kitchen will have chicken, fish, and steak tacos. Brownstone Tavern & Grill will debut at the festival with Cajun steak, lemon pepper shrimp, and barbecue tacos. Café Tola, voted the best taco at the 2015 festival, will have barbecue goat and black bean and meat tacos. Crosby’s Kitchen will serve chicken and pork tacos. D.S. Tequila Company will have coffee-rubbed steak, tequila shrimp, and bourbon chicken tacos.
When you need to take a breather head to one of the two stages that will have 17 bands across the two days including 97 Nine, Get Up with the Get Downs, Nortenos Ecuadron FA, Ballet Folklorico Nacional de Chicago, Wedding Banned, and more. You can also catch lucha libre wrestling daily at 5 p.m.
