Due to concerns regarding the ongoing pandemic, Navy Pier will be temporarily closed starting September 8th until Spring 2021. Make sure to visit before then to make the most of this beautiful Chicago summer!

It’s located right on the edge of Lake Michigan, providing a refreshing and relaxing breeze. Perfect to cool-off on a hot summer day. Let’s not forget to mention their giant fountain. Kids love running in and around the water. The best part? It’s completely free and open to the public. You get to relax and soak up some sun, while the kids enjoy a splash in the fountain. It’s a win-win for everyone.

In the midst of all the fun, don’t forget to enjoy a delicious meal! Navy Pier has a wide selection of restaurants to accommodate everyone. Looking for some mouth watering comfort food? Head on over to Giordano’s, a Chicago legend. If you want a quicker option, Frankie’s Pizza by the slice, Big City Chicken and Billy Goat Tavern are just a few other options.
Parents can also take the edge off by visiting Chango Loco, a Mexican Cantina that offers great cocktails. Navy Pier seriously has fun for the entire family.
Don’t leave Navy Pier without indulging in a delicious treat to satisfy your sweet tooth. If you’re feeling ice cream, there are a number of shops to choose from. The Original Rainbow Cone offers a masterpiece of a cone combining chocolate, strawberry, Palmer House, Pistachio, and Orange sherbet, piled high on a cake cone. Or you could visit Ben and Jerry’s for one of their fan-favorite flavors in a cup, cone or shake.
Need a breather? The Crystal Gardens will offer you a relaxing, feel-good end to your day. Take a family walk through the garden before wrapping-up the visit. This six-story atrium is home to over 80 palm trees, dazzling lights, and gravity-defying fountains. They shoot right over your head!
