The concierges have a great list of favorites, but here are my Chicago favorites in the city.
As part of my last week in Chicago these are my Chicago favorites. Consider this as a fill-in-the-blank for the great options from the concierges or an extra endorsement for those that they’ve recommended. These are my choices without any input from anyone else and a little less conventional. These are the places that I will miss the most when I leave this great city.
Favorite restaurant to wake up at 6 a.m. three months before your reservation to get a 5:45 p.m. seating for a special occasion: Girl and the Goat

Favorite unpretentious speakeasy: Watershed

Favorite beer I’m going to miss: Revolution Brewing
Favorite arcade bar: Headquarters Beercade
Favorite bar with a view: Cindy’s
Favorite theater: Steppenwolf Theatre Company
Favorite place for comedy: The Second City
Favorite bar to dance: Beauty Bar
Favorite overall museum: Museum of Science and Industry
Favorite museum to visit when I only have an hour: Driehaus Museum
Favorite attraction for repeat visits: Lincoln Park Zoo
Favorite place to take in the city: Crown Fountain at Millennium Park
Favorite view of the city: 360 Chicago
