Imagine Warmer Times at the Chicago Boat, RV, and Strictly Sail Show

Chicago Boat, RV, and Strictly Sail Show

Lake Michigan and the Chicago River may be partially frozen and the roads aren’t fantastic, but it’s never to late prepare for hitting the water or the road. Visit the Chicago Boat, RV, and Strictly Sail Show to escape cabin fever and prepare for an adventurous spring and summer.

What used to be two separate winter events—the boat and RV show and the sail show— have joined forces to give you some of the best information, newest products, and activities to prepare you for some serious outdoor fun. With nearly 150 exhibitors covering 800,000 square feet of exhibit space, there is something for everyone from novice to expert.

For those who want to increase their knowledge there are a lot of free options like hourly seminars, sailing lessons on a sailing simulator, food and drinks from the Corona Find Your Beach Bar and Cantina, and even paddle board demos, which should be fun for the whole family. Kids can also enjoy catch-and-release fishing or the chance to walk on water with the Rockin’ Rollin’ Bubbles while the adults learn about modern tools and resources they can use for better navigation on a boat, finding the right floor plan for their RV, or necessary safety skills.

The Chicago Boat, RV, and Strictly Sail Show takes place Jan. 11–15 at the McCormick Place South Building located at 2301 S. Lake Shore Dr. The show is open Wednesday 2 p.m.–8 p.m., Thursday and Friday 11 a.m.–8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.–8 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Admission is $14 for adults over the age of 16, $10 for seniors older than 62 years old, and free for kids under 15 years old.
