Beerhoptacular is Back and Bigger Than Ever

There’s barely enough space in Chicago to house all the breweries that call the city home and those from afar who set up shop here. Discover if 1.45 million square feet is enough at the Sixth Annual Chicago Beerhoptacular.

The Beerhoptacular is back after a hiatus, and it’s bigger than ever taking place at Cinespace Chicago Film Studios, the massive film studios that house the productions of “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago PD,” “Chicago Med,” and many feature films. The space is needed to celebrate all the craft beer in the city, region, and country with 75 brewers pouring more than 150 craft beers. In addition to the hoppy beer, attendees will enjoy food trucks, a vinyl DJ, a bicycle kegerator, and something called Paddy’s Fridge.

Five Rabbit Cerveceria, Baderbräu, Half Acre, Motor Row Brewing, and Pipeworks are only some of the breweries representing Chicago. Other breweries attending include Sweetwater Brewing Company, Brewery Ommegang, and Ballast Point. There will also be a homebrewing competition where you get to try beer from the up-and-comers of the tri-state area.

Build a base for all that beer with food from Dönermen, Chicago Pizza Boss, The Roost Carolina Kitchen, and more.

The Sixth Annual Chicago Beerhoptacular takes place Nov. 5 at Cinespace Chicago Film Studios, 2621 W. 15th Pl. There are two sessions with one from 1 p.m.–4 p.m. and the second from 7 p.m.–10 p.m. General admission is $50, and if you want to enter and hour early admission is $60. For more information visit
