Bears Who? Bacon and Beer Classic Takes Over Soldier Field

Bacon and Beer Classic

It’s hard to find happiness in Soldier Field with the way the Chicago Bears have started this football season, but it all changes this weekend at the Bacon and Beer Classic.

After a popular first year, Bacon and Beer Classic returns to Soldier Field serving up over 30 bacon-infused dishes from local restaurants and over 80 craft beers from local and regional breweries. Not only is the festival filled with America’s favorite liquid and solid, but there is also music, interactive games, educational opportunities, and the opportunity to explore Soldier Field. We have a lot of bacon and beer festivals in Chicago and what makes this one different from the others is that you only pay one price and get all you can eat and drink for three hours without having to buy anything else.

You can expect creative bacon bites including bacon caramel pork belly bahn mi from Red Door Kitchen and Bar, beer and bacon bisque from Farmhouse Chicago, bacon mac and cheese waffles from Chifare, and carmel beer gelato with a bacon waffle cone from Pinstripes. Wash it all down with beers from Ale Syndicate Chicago, Pipeworks Brewing Co., Schlafly Beer, Half Acre, and much more.

The Bacon and Beer Classic will take place Sat. Oct. 1 with a session from 12 p.m.–3 p.m. and one from 6 p.m.–9 p.m. at Soldier Field, 1410 S. Museum Campus Dr. Tickets are $69 for general admission and $99 for VIP, where you enter an hour early, get exclusive dishes, and more. For $85 you can get in half an hour early.
