70mm Film Festival Ends with ‘Interstellar’ and ‘Lawrence of Arabia’

Paramount Pictures

The Music Box Theatre is ending their 70mm Film Festival with a cinema classic and a science fiction film of immense scope.

With the increased interest in 70mm film after Quentin Tarantino’s latest film, “The Hateful Eight,” The Music Box Theatre closes their 70mm Film Festival with “Lawrence of Arabia” and “Interstellar.”

Seventy millimeter film offers four times the resolution of the traditional 35mm with increased clarity and sharpness. The reels for the films are about 40 pounds and run 112 feet per minute. To experience it the Music Box Theatre has installed a new 41-foot screen and 7.1-channel sound system. This an experience you don’t want to miss.

The 70mm Film Festival’s screening of “Lawrence of Arabia” is Thursday, March 10 at 2:00 p.m., and the screening of “Interstellar” is the same day at 8:00 p.m. The Music Box Theatre is located at 3733 N.
