Start your Chicago Restaurant Week with a little appetizer at the kick-off party, First Bites Bash.
First Bites Bash provides tastings from over 60 of Chicago’s celebrated chefs and restaurants that are participating in restaurant week in a festive atmosphere. All of it takes place in the Great Hall of Union Station where you’ll also enjoy beer, wine, and cocktail pairings from Goose Island Beer Company. Executive chef Tony Priolo of Piccolo Sogno and Piccolo Sogno Due will host the party.
When you take a glance of the First Bites Bah menu you quickly realize that you better come hungry because there isn’t one thing you should miss out on. Highlights include fried gator legs from Frontier, kabocha squash ravioli from Osteria La Madia, Peruvian bay scallops from Tanta, porcini and white truffle risotto from Quartino Ristorante and Wine bar, and so much more.
Make sure to head to the after party at the W City Center for even more bites and music. Munch on some dessert bites and take advantage of drink specials from Goose Island Beer Company while jamming to the music of DJ Beats.
First Bites Bash takes place Jan. 21 from 5:30 p.m. – 8: 30 p.m at the Great Hall in Union Station located at 500 W. Jackson St. Admission is $125 per person. The official after party is from 8:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. on the second floor of the W. City Center located at 172 W.
