The size of it comes with the perks of having some great debuts and otherworldly concept vehicles along with keynote presentations from the auto industry leaders. If seeing the vehicles aren’t enough for you then make sure to check out the countless interactive exhibits that highlight some of the technology living in many of the automobiles.
SLÁINTE FROM THE SECOND CITY
Catch the biggest St. Patrick’s Day celebration outside of Dublin in Chicago. The party always starts at the St. Patrick’s Day River Dyeing where the Chicago Journeymen Plumbers pour orange dye into the Chicago River giving it the emerald green color that last about five hours. The best places to catch the dyeing is on the west side of the Columbus Drive, east side of Michigan Avenue, or anywhere on Upper or Lower Wacker Drive. After, head to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and then finish off at the countless Irish pubs in the city for a memorable and blurry time.
BLOOM INTO SPRING
It’s always hard to know when the temperatures will let up, but in Chicago we introduce spring no matter the weather with these two events. Visitors can experience over 10,000 orchids at the Chicago Botanic Garden’s Orchid Show. Learn from experts, buy some orchids for your home, and even spend an evening with the orchids at this anticipated show. Closer to the city, don’t miss the Chicago Flower and Garden Show where you can explore over two-dozen stunning featured gardens, a shopper’s paradise marketplace, nationally recognized experts presenting information-packed seminars, and even cooking demonstrations featuring top chefs.
