Navy Pier Restaurant Review: Harry Caray's Tavern

A long day at Navy Pier and a long way from the Loop can make you ask one thing: what’s there to eat around here? Well, if you are a sports enthusiast (or just enjoy great food) the answer to the question is Navy Pier Restaurant Harry Caray’s Tavern. Located right near the entrance of Navy Pier, this original Chicago restaurant has an extensive menu great for any group.

Navy Pier Dining: Harry Caray's Tavern

Why it’s good for a guys night: Maybe you just got back from a day up in Wrigleyville or are biding time until kick-off down at soldier field, but there is no better place to get in the Chicago sports spirit. Harry Caray’s has an extensive beer list and a gift shop where you can stock up on trinkets featuring the Hall of Fame baseball announcer. Food wise, you can’t beat an oven fired pizza or Holy Cow! Burger.

Why it’s good for kids:This restaurant has lots to look at inside, from sports memorabilia to display cases autographs and photos of Chicago sports legends. The Little League Menu has lots of pint-sized offerings that are simple takes on American favorites. Best part? All kids meals are served with a Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Sandwich.

Why it’s good for tourists: Harry Caray restaurants are popping up throughout the Chicagoland area, but you don’t have to leave the #1 tourist attraction in the city to dine in a Chicago sports haven. Pay homage to Caray’s legend and Chicago sports as you dine in a location with walls covered in history.  Perhaps the most diverse menu located on the Pier, Haray Caray’s has everything from stadium-style foods—nachos and hot dogs—to rib eyes and crab cakes.

The restaurant atmosphere is casual and All-American. Entrée prices range from $11-30. The full menu is available here.
