Navy Pier Launches New Free Performance Series this Weekend

Share

Navy Pier welcomes the fall/winter season with Sequence Ch!cago, a free and dynamic performance series that celebrates local artists, musicians, and cultural organizations by showcasing their works across the Pier’s various unique platforms.

Over the course of 10 dates between Sept. 30 and Dec. 20, Sequence Ch!cago will spotlight talented performers from across the city who have inspired and influenced the local arts scene. Supported by the Paul M. Angell Family Foundation, the music performances are free and open to the public.

With programs such as “Sounds From Beyond: The Undead Strings,” “Housegiving” and “A Blues Christmas,” the series is set to offer fun, holiday-themed performances to align with Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other seasonal celebrations. The series will also highlight the unique sounds of Chicago’s ethnic cultural traditions – from African, Brazilian and Latin, to Middle Eastern, Indian, and many others. On select dates, music performances will be accompanied by the Chicago Culture Market, a marketplace experience featuring handcrafted works produced by talented local artisans.
