Chicago is ready to get cracking this Labor Day weekend. The Great American Lobster Fest is finally coming back to Navy Pier. If you love seafood, then this event is one you cannot afford to miss.
Entry is free, but there are also some specials for ticket holders. The standard Lobster Meal Experience ticket comes with a guaranteed meal, including your choice of whole lobster or a lobster roll, corn on the cob, potatoes, a dinner roll, fresh lemons, and melted butter. You could also upgrade to a VIP ticket, which includes the standard ticket benefits, and get access to exclusive tastings, a VIP lounge, and four drink vouchers. Feeling hungry? You can upgrade to the Lobster Hero Feast which is an all-you-can-eat lobster experience! You do not want to be a lobster on a day full of Heroes. All of these lobsters are flying in from the east coast just for this event.
There is live music every day of the event. Some of the headliners include lively music of Verzatile, the smooth playing of Rico, and the country-rock of Brass Buckle Band. In addition to all this, there are plenty of arts and crafts available for sale. There are several games and fun activities for you and the whole family. One of the best things about having a festival at Navy Pier is that all the local businesses at the Pier remain open. So, there is plenty to do there this weekend.
