St. Louis is a sports aficionado's paradise, and for many, sports fanaticism is a way of life. We quite literally eat and breathe sports here, and our hundreds of sports-themed bars and restaurants are a testament to that. To help narrow the list, we surveyed local concierges for their favorite places to send visitors in search of sports, suds, and sustenance.

Editor's Note: Joe Buck, the popular Fox Network sports announcer, and his sister Julie, are native St. Louisans and children of the much-loved Hall of Fame broadcasting legend, the late Jack Buck. As long-time local residents, they know the best places to go and things to do; as owners of J. Buck's restaurant, they certainly know their favorite place to eat! Recently they shared their thoughts with Concierge Preferred on how they would spend a fun day in St. Louis, going to their favorite places.
For those growing up in the St. Louis area in the 1930s and 1940s, "Let's go to the game" meant heading for Sportsman's Park to watch the Cardinals or the Browns play baseball. These two teams were the main professional teams in St. Louis at the time, and St. Louis was then, and still is, a great town for baseball!
