St. Louis's geographic position at the nation's "center stage" makes our city a vital stop for touring musicians and actors. The spotlight shines on a thriving cultural scene composed of performers, artists, and musicians at our renowned theaters and concert halls.

 

The fabulous  Fox Theatre (527 N. Grand, 314-534-1111) has been a favorite with St. Louisans since its inception over 75 years ago. It hosts a dazzling variety of shows, from Broadway musicals to rock concerts to ballets; its Siamese Byzantine décor is a show in itself.

Housed in the Loretto-Hilton Center in scenic Webster Groves, The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis ( 130 Edgar Road, 314-968-492) is St. Louis's premier professional theater company. Come and enjoy a spectacular and intimate performance in a place where you're never more than 20 rows away from the stage. The new Off-Ramp series is a provocative series of plays, which are performed at the Grandel Theatre in the Grand Center arts and entertainment district. The series will leave you laughing, crying, or simply wondering what's next. In addition to the Mainstage performances and the Off-Ramp series, there is the Imaginary Theatre Company, which produces children's theatre.

The Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center (314-516-4949, UM-St. Louis) is on the campus of the University of Missouri-St. Louis. It hosts famous touring acts, comedians, concerts, and and a speakers series featuring some of the most dynamic, inspiring voices in the country.

At the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre (I-270 & I-70, 314-421-1888) you can kick back on the sloping hillside or reserve a seat - either way, you're in for a night to remember. It's outdoor amphitheatre is perfect for enjoying top-shelf musicians on a warm summer evening.

Forest Park's giant outdoor theatre, the Muny (314-361-1900), is the oldest and largest outdoor theatre in the country. Loved by St. Louis audiences, it hosts popular musicals during the summer months. The back rows are always free and open to the public.
