Come explore the conservation efforts that have transformed Ruth Park Woods on a one-mile hike through the shaded woods. The 26-acre woods are the largest stand of oak-hickory forest of its size and quality in the area. It is also an oasis for resident and migratory birds. The Green Center is in the midst of a two-year effort to remove invasive honeysuckle and wintercreeper and replant trees along the riparian corridor.
The hike is being held in partnership with the Sierra Club-Eastern Missouri Group. For more information, email outing leader Ted Slap at slpacentral-sierra@yahoo.com
