Event Details:

Serving as director, writer, producer and composer, Parks adapted his own autobiographical novel for the big screen, becoming the first African-American filmmaker to produce a major studio film. Selected as one of the first films for the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress, The Learning Tree explores the racial conflicts in early 20th-century America through the eyes of a teenage boy.

Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance by calling 314.655.5299. The film will be shown in the Museum Auditorium. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime.

$5 ($3 for Museum Members)
