The fourth annual Ride the Rivers Century Bicycle Ride, brought to you by The Great Rivers Greenway District, will be held Sunday, October 12, 2008. The wheels on your bicycle will go round and round as you pedal the 100-mile route all over town.
The Century Ride features the region’s “greatest hits” – our majestic Great Rivers, two universities, three parks, two ferry crossings, historic Route 66, five trails and the Gateway Arch. The bicycle ride is hosted by Trailnet’s Bicycle Fun Club and is produced in partnership with The Confluence, The Great Rivers Greenway District, KWMU, Trailhead Brewery and bike shop sponsor Big Shark Bicycle Company.
The pre-registration deadline for this ride is October 3rd. The route travels key sections of the River Ring, a network of greenways, parks and trails now being developed in St. Louis City, St. Louis County and St. Charles County by The Great Rivers Greenway District.
The ride fee is $25 for riders who pre-register before the October 3 deadline and $40 for those registering the morning of the ride. Check in and ride registration is 6:30 – 7:30 a.m. at the Ameristar Casino, One 1260 S Main, St. Charles, MO 63301. To pre-register for the ride, click here.
