Lotta Lattes

Although St. Louis is known as more of a Brewtown than a Beantown, the city serves up an eclectic array coffee shops that may surprise and caffeinate visitors. Kaldi’s Coffee Roasting Company offers exquisite coffee and a delectable menu at each of their four St. Louis locations. Companion Baking has garnered national attention for their baked goods, but their coffee is worthy of equal praise. Often heralded as the finest coffee in town, Mokabe’s is a sublime coffee shop located in the charmingly diverse Grand South Grand neighborhood. Nestled in historic Lafayette Square, Park Avenue Coffee serves St. Louis roasted Chauvin Coffee, but is known for their 45-plus flavors of gooey butter cake. As the name implies, The London Tea Room offers a British take on the caffeine fix—serving an overwhelming array of teas, but also offers wonderful coffees and espresso drinks, as well.

A Dose of Culture

In the months when temperatures are low, St. Louis aims to keep the culture high—offering several inspiring happenings throughout the city. From Nov. 13-23, the St. Louis International Film Festival—one of the largest international film fests in the Midwest—will show over 200 films at various venues around town. For more information, visit www.cinemastlouis.org. Through Jan. 11th, the St. Louis Art Museum will showcase the works of artists like Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning in their Action/Abstraction exhibition. From the Radio City Christmas Spectacular to Stomp, Dance St. Louis offers a unique season that promises to delight. Park Avenue Coffee
1919 Park Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63104

Huddled close in St. Louis's historic Lafayette Square, Park Avenue Coffee serves up rich brews and gooey cakes.

The London Tea Room
1520 Washington Ave., St. Louis, MO 63103

The London Tea Room is fairly straightforward: good tea served authentically by two "homesick Brits." And they know their teas.
