It's Cocktail Time!

Author: Sara Hennessey

Quench your thirst at these local favorites.

Bailey's Chocolate Bar

When the name evokes both cocktails and chocolate, how can you go wrong? The romantic decor will put you in the mood to cuddle - and order one of their fabulous chocolate martinis, in every flavor combination imaginable. Indulge in one of the house-made gourmet desserts while you're there. 1915 Park Ave., 314-241-8100.

Absolutli Goosed

This place is an absolute martini oasis! With over 120 cocktails on the 22-page cocktail menu, the owners take their job seriously, and we thank them for it. From the straight edged vodka martini to the strangely delicious Porky Pig in Leather, every drink is hand-made to order and top notch. 3196 S. Grand, 314-722-0400.

Van Goghz Martini Bar & Bistro

With a menu that features over 50 cocktails, 20 wines, a dozen beers, and food to boot, Van Goghz is stylish while still managing to be inviting. Sit back and enjoy a Malibu Beach, or perhaps an Oatmeal Cookie (martini!) and you won't be disappointed.  3200 Shenandoah, 314-865-3345.

The Fountain on Locust
3037 Locust St., St. Louis, MO 63103

Priding itself on retro-mixes and rare dessert treats, the Fountain on Locust is a blast from the past malt-shop with art-deco panache.
