Chicago Gangsters

Short details/Description:

The “Roaring 20s” was a time of prosperity and celebration throughout America, but under the cover of Chicago’s vibrant veil, leagues of criminals continuously brewed trouble in the city. Al Capone and the Chicago Outfit gangsters took control of the streets with a hard hand and a deadly machine gun. The reign of Chicago gangsters in the early 1900s left an eternal stamp on the metropolis with the abundance of crime, bootlegging, and brothels.

Full Details/Body:

During the 1920s liquor flowed in tumbling waves through the streets of Chicago while the rest of America experienced the stabbing pains of the greatest drought of the 20th century: Prohibition. Thanks to ignominious gangsters, the city always had a steady stream of booze. Alcohol equaled power during the thirteen years of Prohibition, and Chicago gangsters certainly had a plenitude of power.

The tourism industry has picked up on the popularity of past Chicago gangsters and has amply provided the public with an assortment of attractions featuring these historic criminals.
