This highly visited area is crowded with ethnic shops and restaurants, ranging from simple dim sum to gourmet Cantonese. The first Chinese immigrants came in 1870s with the development of the railroad.

There are many jewelers, salons, book stores, grocers, herbalists, and gift shops in the 11 square blocks of Chinatown.

Dining/Nightlife

There are endless restaurants in Chinatown all serving different and unique styles of Chinese food. 

Culture & Attractions

The community always has a parade to celebrate the Chinese New Year, which always occurs on a different date each year in either January or February.
