Settled in 1834, Algonquin has boomed in the last 10 years. New stores and restaurants have been introduced to the area, and new homes have brought many new residents. Algonquin is often referred to as the 'Gem of the Fox River Valley." A trip down Randall Road can highlight all the new businesses that have been brought to the area.

The new Algonquin Commons is probably the most exciting spot to shop. This up-scale dining and shopping destination has over 80 stores. Besides this location, up and down Randall Road has numerous stores and restaurants.

Dining/Nightlife

Algonquin Commons has Italian, American, Irish, and Mexican cuisine. This area can please all types of taste buds. Further north on Randall Road are other popular chain restaurants. There is no shortage of food in this area.

Culture & Attractions

Check out the Fox River since Algonquin the "Gem" of the valley. There are also many parks and golf courses in the area.
