Palos Park
Overview
Considered as oasis away from the busy city of Chicago, Palos Park has hills, caves, creeks, and ponds. Forest preserves surround the area on three sides creating a haven for wildlife to thrive. The area was settled in the 1830s and was originally called Trenton, but the name was changed to Palos in 1850. The village was officially incorporated until 1914.
