Overview
Once inhabited by Potawatomi Indians, Harwood Heights is now a thriving village only 11 miles northwest of the Loop. Because of its close proximity to the city, it is often mistaken as being part of Chicago. A large portion of the Harwood Heights population is of Polish and Italian ancestry.
