Forest Park
Overview
Forest Park is only 10 miles from downtown and offers an urban setting with a small town feel. It is easily accessible via Metra Rail, CTA Elevated Trains (Green and Blue lines), and I-290. This village is over 100 years old and still has many of the original cobblestone streets.

The area, including near by Oak Park, has lot's of shopping including antique shops, clothing and music stores, and other specialty shops.
Dining/Nightlife
There is plenty of dining in this area, from pizza places to great delis, Forest Park has anything a visitor could want.
Culture & Attractions
Some of the historic cemeteries house the remains of many famous individuals; tours are available for interested parties. The Park District has an Aquatic Center for residents and guests to enjoy during the summer months.

Check out a show at the Circle Theatre of Forest Park. They produce dramas, musicals, and comedies throughout the year.
