Event Details:
Five lakeside mansions, many designed by prairie-style architect George W. Maher, will open for tours led by architectural historians.
Hutchinson Street, a designated Chicago Landmark, containing many of the city's timeless Prairie-Style residences, along with other traditionally designed homes, will open for a rare public guided tour. These houses feature intricately carved wood, beautiful stained glass and other decorative motifs reflected in 19th and early 20th-century architectural styles. Many of these homes were designed by worldly-renowned architect, George W. Maher.
Proceeds benefit the Pleasant Home Foundation.
