A bottle of Champagne contains 58 million bubbles (give or take a few hundred thousand). Dom Perignon did not invent Champagne. Each year, the Spanish cava house, Freixenet, produces fully one-third as much sparkling wine as the entire region of Champagne, France. Come learn more about sparkles and bubbles in this year end toast to fizzy wine. Taste a dozen types of sparkling wine from around the globe, including Spanish cava, German sekt, Italian spumante and, of course, cremant and Champagne from France.
