Mushroom enthusiasts have always prized accurate and well-illustrated descriptions of fungi. Beautifully illustrated color plates selected from the Rare Book Collection show the amazing range of mushroom species.
Hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Tuesday hours are from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday hours are from noon to 4 p.m. Closed holidays. A free library talk, “Featured Fungus: Rare Books from the Lendhardt Library” will be given on Sunday, October 19 at 2 p.m. For more information, visit www.chicagobotanic.org/library.
