Ignition: Emerging Playwrights of Color is a celebration of race and up-and-coming playwrights, with all plays written by talented writers under the age of 40 in an effort to encourage budding artists across the country. The six plays, performed by some of the most gifted Chicago actors, were whittled down from 120 submissions and all of the writers will be present at the festival in order to take part in this prestigious honor.
