In celebration of our nation's birthday, Arlington Park is hosting a Fireworks Celebration on July 3, 2008. Festivities will begin at 1 p.m. with Thoroughbred Racing until 5 p.m.
At 5:30 p.m., registration will begin for the Dachshund race. There will be approximately 100-200 dogs competing in four different categories: Little Smokies, Frankfurters, Senior Sausages, and Knockwursts, with eight dogs in each heat. The races will begin at 6:30 p.m.
At 7:30, Four Man Band will perform classic rock songs. The fireworks will start at 9pm. General admission is free, but reserved seats will be $5.
