Glamorama 2008 stars Cyndi Lauper, MC Hammer, special guest DJ Berrie, and the absolutely fabulous clothing designs sauntering down the runway. Couture fashions from the most innovative American and European designers will be showcased at this choreographed fashion show. Get a glimpse of the hottest fall fashions as models wearing the latest pieces from the 28 Shop and the Oval Room dance down the runway to the beat of the pop music.
For the 10th consecutive year, Macy's Glamorama, a signature fall fashion event and mega-fundraiser, lights up the city. A portion of the ticket proceeds benefit the Auxiliary Board and Evening Associates of the Art Institute of Chicago. These volunteer organizations share the common goal to make the museum accessible to a broader and more diverse audience. This is accomplished through funding exhibitions, providing community outreach programs and hosting special events at the Art Institute. Over the past nine years, Glamorama has raised more than $2 million for the Art Institute.
Tickets range from $50 to $285 and are available from Ticketmaster or the Chicago Theatre box office.
