Full Details:
Here you can grab a drink with your crew or savor the taste from the visible grill with the kids. The original Billy Goat Tavern was near Chicago Stadium (now the United Center) and was bought for only $205! The location has since moved and expanded to numerous locations.
The Billy Goat Tavern also has a storied past. It began when owner William "Billy Goat" Sianis purchased two tickets to the World Series Game in 1945 where the Cubs played the Tigers. Sianis brought his pet goat to the gates hoping the goat would bring the Cubs some luck. When they wouldn't let the goat in, saying he stunk, Sianis became mad and eledgidly cursed the Cubs saying they would never win a World Series again. And since then...they haven't! Many attempts have been made to lift the curse since that day.
