This clubby eatery, which is a shrine to sports, and in particular a shrine to former Chicago Bears coach (and the restaurant's proprietor) Mike Ditka, is located in the Tremont Hotel. The two-story space is decked with trophies, football jerseys, caricatures, sports-art and photographs, but don't take that to mean sports bar. The masculine decor here features lots of wood, white tablecloths and a comfortable bar. The menu is peppered with football and Ditka lingo; look for choices like "da pork chop," with warm cinnamon apples, spaetzle and green peppercorn roasted garlic au jus; the "training table pot roast," with bourbon-maple glaze and smashed potatoes; and an ample "fullback" filet mignon. Cigars are available, including Ditka's own private line.
