An arena theatre with only nine rows, the Marriott presents world-class muscial productions in a highly intimate setting. The Marriott Theatre, founded in 1975, sells a whopping 400,000 tickets each year and has received 370 Joseph Jefferson Award nominations - Chicago's highest honor for theatrical achievement.
The Marriott Theatre has launched the touring performances of dozens of Broadway shows, including "A Chorus Line" and "Beauty and the Beast." The Marriott also produces new and original works - including such hits as "Peggy Sue Got Married" and "Once Upon a Time in Jersey."
In 1988, the Marriott launched its Theatre for Young Audiences, which produces both original works and classic fairytales.
