The Chicago Bears has been the key to Chicago football fan's hearts ever since the beginning of the National Football League (NFL) in 1920. The Bears have taken home a number of wins since then, including four Conference Championships, the NFL Western Championship in 1956 and 1963, and the NFC Championship in 1985 and 2006. The team has conquered a total of 21 Division Championships and the Super Bowl in 1985.
The 1985 Bears has gone down in history with a near perfect regular season 15-1, and shutting out the Los Angeles Rams and New York Giants in the playoffs. The face-off in the Super Bowl boiled down to the Bears and the New England Patriots where the Patriots were shamefully beaten 46-10.
The roster currently holds wide receiver Devin Hester and defense player Brian Urlacher as valuable players to the team. Hester has the reputation of being a speed demon and setting NFL records for returns. Hester made six return touchdowns in a single-season during his rookie campaign in 2006 making NFL history. Urlacher has also topped 100 tackles for eight consecutive seasons. With quarterback Rex Grossman and his on and off performance, Grossman became the first quarterback since Eric Kramer in 1995 to start every game of the regular season in 2006.
With the 2008 season on the rise, Bears fans are thirsty for a victory in this year's Super Bowl XLII.
