EGOBK Fundraiser at Tavern at the Park

Everything’s Gonna Be OK (EGOBK) Mission, a Chicago-based philanthropic organization dedicated to helping children and young adults in developing countries train and work in the service industry, will host a fundraiser at Tavern at the Park to support Cambodia’s Hope and the Palm Tree Orphanage in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

This will be the second EGBOK Mission fundraiser held in Chicago. The first fundraiser was held last April at Nacional 27 with more than 100 attendees, raising approximately $10,000. The upcoming fundraiser at Tavern at the Park will be a $40 donation that will include hors d’ oeuvres, beer, wine and specialty cocktails from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cash, check and credit card will be accepted at the door. All donations to Cambodia’s Hope go to the children.

The EGBOK Mission is based on the foundation of providing service through service. The EGBOK Mission is dedicated to helping children and young adults receive the educational and vocational training needed to work in the service industry. Learn more at www.egbokmission.blogspot.com

Cambodia’s Hope and the Palm Tree Orphanage

Cambodia’s Hope was founded in 2003 as a charitable organization to support children in need living in Cambodia. The organization is responsible for the well-being and education of 93 children at the Palm Tree Orphanage. Cambodia’s Hope is primarily interested in creating a safe living space for these children, providing good nutrition, education, love and security. The organization supplements their learning with programs and opportunities to become self-sufficient, promoting leadership in their community, with a focus on keeping their Cambodian roots and background prevalent.
