The Museum of Science and Industry celebrates the 40th year of the Black Creativity program, which recognizes the achievements of African Americans in various fields, such as medicine, music, engineering, film, justice, architecture and science.
From January 26 - February 28, 2011, MSI will host a retrospective exhibit, 40 Years of Black Creativity, that celebrates four decades of exhibits, programs and events with photographs, memorabilia and videos. The Museum will also present the annual Black Creativity juried art exhibition, featuring more than 80 original pieces of art from African American artists around the country. Related Black Creativity programming will take place throughout February, Black History Month, and into the year.
