Description
Navy Pier is proud to celebrate the rich tapestry of Chicago’s diverse ethnic communities, in an all-new tribute: Neighborhoods of the World, presented each Sunday, February 6 – April 3, 12 Noon - 5 pm, in Navy Pier’s Crystal Gardens. This event is FREE and open to the public. Celebrate the many cultures of our world-class city by enjoying authentic live music and dance performances, cuisine, art, and community vendors from nine different ethnic Chicago communities.
Navy Pier has expanded well beyond Chicago’s own Greektown for its next Sunday celebration. In cooperation with the Consulate General of Greece, A Greek Journey in the Windy City will take place on Sunday, March 27, 2011. Special performances include the Orpheus Hellenic Folklore Society and the Chicago Hellenic Choir. While you’re in the neighborhood, participate in the children’s arts and crafts area.
