Situated at a prime point along Chicago 's vaunted lakeshore, The Adler Planetarium has directed visitors' eyes toward the heavens since it first opened for business in 1930.

Take interactive trips through the universe in the exhibits or in a movie in its state-of-the-art theatres.

Admission $10-$18.

Regular Schedule
Monday - Friday                10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday          10:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Extended hours until 10 pm first Friday of every month.    

Summer hours June 15 through September 7  

Everyday: 9:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.

July 1, 2009: closes at 5:30 p.m.

The Adler Planetarium is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
