This is an outpost of the steak house chain founded by Ruth Fertel in the mid-sixties in New Orleans. The gimmick here is simply seasoned steaks (they only get salt, pepper, parsley and a last minute topping of real butter) served on a piping hot plate. Look for classic steaks like the filet mignon, N.Y. strip and T-bone, plus veal chops, stuffed chicken breast and lobster tail. The clubby space features dark woods and white linen-topped tables.
