More about St. Louis Cardinals...
Short Description:
The Cardinals bring America's passtime to St. Louis, Busch Stadium to be more precise. The team won the World Series in 2006, their 10th national title.
Full Details:
Cardinal season can begin with exhibition games as early as the end of February. But, the season opener is usually early April. The team plays in the heart of downtown St. Louis at the newly renovated Busch Stadium. It's back to real grass for the ballpark, but an updated video-scoreboard replaces its hand-operated predecessor. The stadium now holds more than 50,000 people and covers more than 12 acres. A family pavilion features games for kids and a picnic area makes for casual snacking. Stadium tours are offered daily on non-game days, but watch the time: last one starts at 2 p.m. Dining options include the expected spread of hot dogs, brats, burgers, nachos and fries. And, if fans are willing to walk past the first vendor they see, Tacos, burritos, BBQ pork sandwiches and Asian stir-fry is also available.
