Proprieter Ruth Fertel, who started Ruth's Chris steakhouse in the French Quarter of New Orleans, set out with one goal--to make a great steak. Now, 40 years later, each steak is still prepared the same way: cooked in a special oven that super-heats and sears the steak in one swoop, leaving a char-grilled delicacy bubbling in butter to wow and please patrons.
In addition to the steaks, Ruth's Chris also offers up succulent Maine Lobster, freakishly large shrimp cocktails, and golden-brown mashed potatoes to turn a great meal into an unforgettable experience.
