When Mayor Stephens visited Europe in the 1960s, he immediately became interested in hummels. After building quite a collection, in 1984 he donated all his figurines to the Village of Rosemont. Today, this collection is displayed at the Donald E. Stephens Museum of Hummels and Village Gift Shop. Over 1000 Hummels and ANRI wood carvings are currently on display.
