Full Details:
The Paramount Theatre opened its doors in September of 1931. When the theatre was bought in 1976 by the Aurora Civic Center Authority, it was closed for restoration. It re-opened in 1978 having gone under a $1.5 million clean-up. It also offered more of a variety of performances such as musical, comedy, dance, and family on top of its theatrical productions. Today, the theatre can house 150,000 people and often puts on free shows.
