Standing inside the John Hancock Observatory, on the 94th floor of Chicago's famous John Hancock Building, visitors can enjoy an awe-inspiring 360-degree views of four states - seeing up to 80 miles away on a clear day. The Observatory, located right in the heart of the Magnificent Mile, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m and has recently undergone a multi-million dollar renovation.
Multimedia Tour
An interesting new feature is a self-guided, multimedia audio tour called Sky Tour narrated by actor David Schwimmer; this landmark-identifying tour helps to zone in on various Chicago landmarks--large and small.
The tour is offered in six languages: English, German, French, Mandarin, Japanese, and Spanish. It's also included in the price of admission, so think value here. This tour is kid-friendly; it offers a choice between adult and kids versions.
Cafe Espression by Lavazza on the 94th Floor
Spectators can chill after their sightseeing in the new Lavazza cafe on the viewing deck of the Observatory. This cozy cafe offers delicious coffee selections from all around the world to compliment the John Hancock's millions of international guests that visit each year. Stay and watch the sunset with an extraordinary cup of java and your loved ones.
