More about St. Louis Union Station...
Short Description:
St. Louis's grand old train station, Union Station is a National Historic Landmark and has been restored and refurbished to become a one-of-a-kind shopping center, with an attached Hyatt Hotel, and hosting national brands and stores found only in St. Louis alike.
Full Details:
Flanked on all sides by contemporary American eateries like the Hard Rock Cafe, Houlihan's, and Landry's Seafood house, it's easy to think that Union Station sprang up over night, but this building is steeped in more than 100 years of history, including dining history. The famous eatery in the Hyatt, the Station Grille, is a direct descendent of Fred Harvey's once-famous train station eatery that revolutionized luxury and entertainment.
In addition to the accomodations and history provided in Union Station, guests can get free guided tours, or peruse the multitude of shops that dot the landmark, like Beatles for Sale, specializing in 60's memoribilia, or Dog On It, a pooches and pups shop.
For tour, store and location information, visit the Union Station website.
