MetroLink provides fast, safe, easy-to-use transportation to many of the area’s
entertainment, cultural, and shopping destinations.
Metro has now opened the new Shrewsbury Branch, with new light rail service between the Forest Park-DeBaliviere MetroLink Station Lansdowne-I-44, in Shrewsbury. This highly anticipated project has brought light rail service to nine new locations in the Central Corridor of St. Louis City and County. The new stations add MetroLink service to the communities of Clayton, University City, Richmond Heights, Brentwood, Maplewood and Shrewsbury in St. Louis County.
The MetroLink system now has 37 stations and stretches 48 miles from Lambert International St. Louis Airport and Shrewsbury endpoints in Missouri to the Scott Air Force Base-Shiloh endpoint in Illinois.
Along with the MetroLink expansion, Metro has re-designed several of its MetroBus routes to serve as feeder routes to MetroLink, providing faster, streamlined long distance trips. So combine MetroBus with MetroLink and see for yourself how getting there is a snap with Metro.
