Though named The Missouri History Museum, the Museum itself has a significant St. Louis bias (and who can blame it?). Featuring continually running exhibits about the 1904 World's Fair and St. Louis hero Charles Lindbergh, in addition to spectacular special exhibits, the Missouri History Museum always offers a fun and entertaining way to spend an afternoon learning about one of the greatest cities on the Mississippi.
All that walking and learning can get tiring, though, so it's a good thing they put a premier restaurant in the Museum as well. Operated by the Butler's Pantry, one of St. Louis' most popular caterer's Bixby's offers delicious cuisine and an unparalleled view of Forest Park.
For those who don't want a day's adventure, and would rather get room service from their hotel, The Missouri History Museum also offers online exhibits like the Katherine Dunham and History Happened Here: A Virtual Tour of St. Louis' Cultural Communities, so you can lunch from your laptop.
For online exhibits, as well as menu information for Meriwether's, visit The Missouri History Museum's website.
