The self-proclaimed "Encased Meat Emporium" Hot Doug's is a landmark in Chicago's culinary scene. Sadly, I've made it over three years in this city without dining there. Their hours are quite specific, only 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Saturday. They may have a line extending far out the door. But no matter, you will be enchanted by their sausages, making the entire experience worth it.
